Although we are not able to offer repair services for personally-owned computers, the Information Technologies Help Desk will work with a student to do some initial trouble-shooting.  We can also scan your computer for viruses and malware and help troubleshoot and fix connection to the wireless network.

Many of the IT Help Desk student workers are Computer Science majors and have experience offering assistance with hardware and software issues.  The Help Desk Specialist (full-time Malone staff) is also experienced in troubleshooting all kinds of issues.

We will work with students to make certain that their wireless devices (not just computers) are able to connect to the Malone wireless network. See this FAQ for more information on the wireless networks here at Malone: FAQ 188.

If it is necessary to leave a device at help desk for work to be done at a later time, there is a form that must be signed detailing an agreement you make with us while work is done on the device. This form is attached to this FAQ, and is also available at help desk.

You are welcome to contact the IT Help Desk at 330.471.8428 with any further questions you may have regarding your computer or internet connection issues.
