What equipment is installed in each of the classrooms?
Basic Equipment Package
This is the "basic equipment package". Most rooms will specify a "base equipment package" and then specify the additional features. All non-lab classrooms have been minimally equipped with the following gear:
  • A windows based Desktop Computer with DVD playback capabilities and Internet access via wired connection.
  • A ceiling mounted Data Projector with a minimum resolution of 1024x768 pixels
  • Ceiling or front mounted speakers/audio system
  • Wifi (Wireless Internet) access for student and guest computers.

Video overviews of each classroom type are located at the bottom of this FAQ.

Overheads
Many rooms still have overhead projectors, though professors should check ahead of time or make arrangements to guarantee these are available in the rooms where they will be teaching. Use of this equipment is being deprecated-- meaning that though we will not [yet] actively remove it from the rooms, it will not be replaced when broken and may not be functional in its current state.

Televisions, and VHS
VHS is no longer a supported format. There are only a few remaining functioning VCRs on campus. Televisions have been removed from most of the classrooms on campus.
